Williams is on target in opener

The road to Wembley starts on Saturday for Pinchbeck United with a trip north.

The United Counties Leaguers travel to Yorkshire side Maltby Main, looking for only their second win in the competition.
Pinchbeck opened their league season last Saturday with a 1-1 draw at newcomers Ashby Ivanhoe.
Taylor Jaine’s back-post cross set up Andre Williams to open the scoring after 38 minutes but the hosts levelled a minute before the break. Jaine had a later strike disallowed for offside.
Jaine made a lightning start to Tuesday’s match at Wisbech Town with a first-minute goal but for the second match running the opposition levelled on the stroke of half-time.
It got worse for the Knights with the hosts adding two more in the last 12 minutes to complete a 3-1 victory.

Knights v Ivanhoe: Wilkinson, Burrell (Stuffins), Gagyi, Sheriff, Cranfield, Melson, Jaine, Henderson, Williams, B Johnson
(H Johnson), Tate. Subs: Piotrek, Ibeneme, Wootton.
Attendance: 194.
