Whitewash for top of the league

Gosberton B, who are top of the Spalding and District Billiards League, went down 7-0 to Pyramid B on Monday night.
The Pyramid team of Maurice Phillipson (R70), Martin O’Connor (R40) and Darrell Read (R30) whitewashed leaders Gosberton, moving them up a place in the standings.
The loss allowed second placed Holbeach B to close the gap to six points, despite them losing 5-2 to clubmates Holbeach A.
Chris Chamberlain (R50) was the only winner for the B team, with Mick Cooper (O190) and Ben Harding (R40) getting the wins for Holbeach A.
Cooper knocked in breaks of 41, 37, 24 and 23 on his way to victory.
Bottom-of-the-league Pyramid A got a good win over mid-table Consti A, winning 5-2.
Frame wins for John Clapton (R100) and John Twell (R70) saw them to victory, while John Bellerby (R80) got the points for Consti, along with a 26 break.
