Westwood boosts Tulips’ ranks

Squad rebuilding continues apace at Spalding United, ahead of the new Northern Premier League season.
Former Rushden & Diamonds right back Callum Westwood is the latest to join the Division One Midlands play-off finalists.
The 24-year-old ex-Northampton Town junior also lists Kettering Town, Corby Town and Nuneaton among his former clubs.
More recently he has been with Northampton ON Chenecks, St Ives Town and Stratford Town.
He is the latest recruit for new manager Elliot Sandy, joining goalkeeper Tony Breedon, midfielders Joe Curtis and Glenn Walker, left back Stephen Morley and strikers Dan Sweeney and Jordan Graham.
They are in addition to the dozen players so far retained from last season’s squad in the new-look Tulips line-up for the new campaign.
