Pinchbeck United’s wait for a first win of the United Counties League Division One goes on.
The Knights lost 3-1 at Selston on Saturday making it three defeats out of their first four.
They found themselves 2-0 down after 20 minutes in Nottinghamshire.
Firstly after nine minutes, Knights stopper Pipes-Goulsbra was disposed of the ball and Colt Reynold rolled it home from a difficult angle.
Ty Short then netted the second to give Pinchbeck a mountain to climb.
Shortly after the half hour Louie Garner halved the deficit, firing home after a well-worked move from a set piece.
The Knights then pushed for a second and had chances to equalise.
With 15 minutes left though they were undone on the counter, Leighton Bowering tapping home from virtually under the bar after a save.
Josh Panton’s was Pinchbeck’s man of the match.
The Knights were due to play Harrowby on Tuesday night (August 11) but the game was called off due to a floodlight issue at the Grantham club’s Dickens Road ground.
Next up for Pinchbeck is the first qualifying round of the FA Vase in which they will host fellow UCL Division One side Stapleford Town.
