The election for the Spalding St Paul’s ward is set to take place on Thursday, November 9.
Nominations to be a candidate are open from tomorrow (Friday) until 4pm on Friday, October 13.
It follows South Holland Independents’ Bailey Boulding resigning from the council citing a family situation since his election in May.
In his place they’ve announced that Vanessa Browning will stand for the seat.
A spokesman said: “Vanessa is a hard-working single parent who has a keen interest in community spirit and helping others.
“Vanessa has been working tirelessly in Spalding for many years, her passion is working with single parents and supporting anyone who is struggling with mental health.
“Vanessa is a keen listener who always puts others first as seen with her Community Mind Matters project.”
The Conservative party has not officially revealed who will stand for it, though Glynis Scalese, who was voted out of the position, has told The Voice she’d like to seek re-election.
