Two Lips Ball raises thousands

The Rotary Club of Spalding and the Welland’s annual Two Lips Ball returned on Saturday.

Over 100 guests descended on the Springfields marquee suite to raise money for charities the Rotary organisation supports.

As well as a fine meal by Springfields resident chef John Norman, South Holland-based band Zebra provided the entertainment.

Band member Mark Le Sage set up the charity Ella’s Project to provide items such as clothes to those that need it most in the local area and the Rotary branch has already decided that will be one of the good causes to benefit from the over £3,000 raised.

A spokesman for the Rotary Club said: “We’d like to thank everyone at Springfields for their help and Zebra who ensured the dance floor was full throughout the evening.

“As always the collection and the raffle were well supported and thanks to the many, many people who helped us raise over £3,000.

“Special thanks goes to Andy Prior and his wife Sarah for their continued support to the evening together with members of the club.”
