Two arrested as armed police and helicopter descend on Sutton Bridge area

Armed police and a helicopter were involved in arresting two suspects in Little Sutton this afternoon.

It followed a vehicle associated with a suspect wanted by Suffolk Police being seen crossing the A17 at Sutton Bridge.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “Following an ANPR reading at around 2.40pm today (April 18) on the A17 at Sutton Bridge for a vehicle associated with a male wanted by our colleagues at Suffolk Police, we deployed firearms officers.

“Our officers were assisted by the NPAS helicopter.

“Two men, both aged in their 20s, were arrested in Little Sutton. They are now in custody.”
