Two arrested after armed robbery at Holbeach jewellery

Police have arrested two people in Nottinghamshire after an armed robbery at a Holbeach jewellers this lunchtime (May 30).

Police were called to PG Jewellery and Collectables on the corner of Boston Road South and West End, in Holbeach at 12.19pm.

They say the inside of the store has been damaged and believe that jewellery was taken.

A spokesman said: “We were called to a report of a robbery at PG Jewellery and Collectables on West End, in Holbeach at 12.19pm today (Friday 30 May).

“Damage had been caused within the store and jewellery items are believed to have been taken.

“Following information received, two men have been arrested in connection with this burglary at the roadside on the A638, close to the Retford turn off.”

Since publishing this article, police have issued a statement say the men are being investigated for an ‘armed robbery’.
