Trial for sexual offences charges

A man denied ten sexual offences against a child in the Spalding area when he appeared at Lincoln Crown Court on Monday.
Daniel Brundell (59), of Launditch Crescent in Downham Market will go to trial at Lincoln Crown Court in April next year after he pleaded not guilty to a total of 14 charges.
He is charged with six counts of sexual assault on a girl and four counts of inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity.
Mr Brundell also pleaded not guilty to two counts of taking Category C indecent photographs of a child and two counts of making Category C indecent photographs of a child.
All of the charges relate to alleged offences in the Spalding area over a period between 2014 and 2020.
Judge Catarina Sjolin Knight adjourned the case for a trial beginning at Lincoln Crown Court on 22 April 2025.
The trial is expected to last four days.
Mr Brundell was granted bail by Judge Sjolin Knight on condition he does not contact any prosecution witnesses.
Judge Sjolin Knight told Mr Brundell: “You have pleaded not guilty, so the matter needs to go off for trial.”
