A Spalding man has gone on trial at Lincoln Crown Court accused of historic sex offences against two children.
Barry Severn, 37, of Stonegate, Spalding, denies nine charges which are alleged to have occurred between 2002 and 2009.
Seven of the offences are alleged to have been committed against a girl aged under-13.
They include three charges of indecent assault, two counts of sexual assault, one offence of assault by penetration and one allegation of causing a child to engage in sexual activity.
Mr Severn also denies two further charges of indecent assault against a second girl aged under-13.
The trial judge, Catarina Sjolin-Knight, told jurors the case was expected to last most of the week.
Judge Sjolin-Knight also warned the jury to put any emotions or assumptions about sexual cases aside.
“You have already heard the case involves allegations against two children and when the defendant was a teenager,” Judge Sjolin-Knight explained.
Mr Severn denies all nine charges.
