Top turnout for ‘She Rallies’ session at Spalding Town Tennis Club

There was a great turnout as Spalding Town Tennis Club hosted a free session for women and girls on Sunday as part of the She Rallies scheme pioneered by Judy Murray.

The scheme aims to increase female participation in tennis, through offering more opportunities to be involved in coaching and playing.

The event was organised by venue lead Ellie Blackbourn, with coaching help from Jack Howard and Carl Newell.

With more than 25 participants, the session included drills, technique, games and activities.

The day was enjoyed by all and the club hopes it will be a step in the right direction for a successful summer season of tennis.

  • Spalding Town Tennis have just launched a new weekly course with all new equipment, lesson structures and coaches.

It’s for juniors aged 4-18 and will take place on Saturdays. Contact Ellie on 07388 589058 for more information.
