The third annual Spalding Model Engineering & Hobby Show takes place over the weekend of April 23 and 24 at Springfields Event Centre, Spalding.
The aim of the show is to promote traditional engineering skills alongside current technological innovations.
This mix of old and new skills aims to advance education and awareness in the subjects of sustainable engineering and technology to people of all ages.
As well as a wide range of static exhibits from over 35 modelling clubs and associations, including traditional engineering, there will be several working demonstrations in metal working.
Visitors will find a large diorama of remote controlled trucks and heavy plant (1/14th scale) on the move, an indoor flying zone demonstrating flight of small planes, helicopters and drones and a large gauge 1 live steam railway layout.
Also confirmed to attend this year’s show are Lincoln UTC, Greater Peterborough UTC and Perkins Green Power Racing Team who will be displaying their current projects alongside demonstrations of 3D printing.
Outside working exhibits continue to be a popular feature of the show. Miniature traction engines will be in steam daily.
Families can enjoy a ride on the 7 & 1⁄4” gauge railway and watch the boats on the boating pool.
New this year will be a display of moving 1/16th scale armoured vehicles around a large village layout. Rock climbing remote control cars will be demonstrating over rough terrain in this outside area.
Approximately 30 traders will be attending the show selling a wide range of tools equipment materials and ready to run models.
Entry is £6 for adults and £3 for under 16s. Under fives are free.
