Tigers shot down by Hunters in League Cup

Holbeach United exited the Thurlow Nunn League Cup on Tuesday night as they lost on penalties to Huntingdon Town.
Less than two weeks after losing 4-1 in the league to the Hunters, the Tigers acquitted themselves better this time.
They fell behind to a goal deep into first half injury time but hit back through Lewis Baughan to take the game to penalties.
The same player missed the crucial penalty that saw Huntingdon win the shoot out 5-3 to advance to the next round.
Baughan was among those on the scoresheet as Holbeach were also held to a draw in a trip to Norwich CBS in the league on Saturday.
Callum Davies and John Yambasu also scored for the Tigers in a lively match which saw Holbeach put the pressure on late on after Norwich were left down to ten for the final few minutes due to a sin-binning.
Next up the Tigers face a trip to Diss Town on Saturday before they host Whittlesey Athletic at Carter’s Park on Wednesday, October 12.
