When you get that service with a smile it always makes a difference.
That’s why the Pride of South Holland Awards has a category for those public facing workers who go extra miles.
The Service With A Smile Award.
It recognises an individual or team from our community who provides outstanding service in the community.
This is all about someone who likes to help others, goes out of their way to do more to help the customer, being polite and smiling with them.
It’s sponsored by county and district councillor Elizabeth Sneath.
She said: “It is a pleasure to once again support the Pride Of South Holland Awards event so ably organised by Jan Whitbourn.
“It is always an amazing afternoon, bringing together so many people and thanking so many unsung heroes.
“The service with a smile category is really special, we get a chance to thank those we come across in so many different places who make anything and everything we do more pleasant.
“It’s for people who go above and beyond their job description to help us, people who put us at ease at a stressful time, people who listen.
“So, have a think about people you meet as you shop, have health appointments or use the library, we would love to receive your ‘Service with a Smile’ nominations.”
Jan said: “Each year we have some amazing people who win.
“It is always hard to choose as each nomination is a worthy winner.
“We are pleased to acknowledge the good work of each and everyone of them and all they do in our local community.
“If you know someone who provides Service With A Smile in our community who deserves recognition, please send us as much information as possible – to [email protected]
“Thank you to Elizabeth Sneath for supporting this category and all of our fantastic Sponsors for supporting the Pride of South Holland Awards each year.”
The Spalding and South Holland Voice team up with Jan for the awards which are taking place at the South Holland Centre on Sunday, June 23.
