Teen revs up the bike sessions

A host of bikers rode into a Spalding pub recently as a teenager’s planned gatherings moved up another gear.

Connor Newton (17), a member of the family which runs the Drayman’s Arms in Little London, put on regular meets last year and the first of this year came on Saturday, April 15.

He was left stunned when over 60 turned out.

“It was amazing,” said Connor, who also helps run the Spalding Bikers Facebook page. “We have events once a month and will in future try to raise money for charities that help bikers such as the air ambulance.

“I have been interested in motorcycles since I was about four years old and got more into them when I was taken to motorcycle shows by my nan and grandad.

“Ever since then I’ve been inseparable with motorcycles.”

The next bikers’ event takes place at the pub from 12pm on Saturday, May 17.
