Sunday football round-up: Gedney Hillbillies off to a flier, Fishtoft also stay perfect

It’s early days in the Spalding and District Sunday Football League season, but Gedney Hillbillies Orange are setting the race after two rounds of fixtures.

The league new boys are one of two teams with a 100 per cent record so far and confidently dispatched CSKA Emneth Reserves 6-1 at the weekend.

Orange led 2-0 at the break before really finding their stride after the break, with both Ethan Kemball and Elliott Lea helping themselves two a brace of goals.

Jordan Kirchin and Harry Grigas grabbed the other goals for the Hillbillies at the Elizabethan Centre, with Matt Ryan netting the CSKA consolation.

Also boasting two wins from two are Fishtoft Sunday, who had too much for league stalwarts Jubilee in a 2-0 triumph. Joseph Kuhn and Marshall Young grabbed the goals in that one.

The only other game completed on Sunday saw South Holland United Orange win 6-2 at AFC Moulton Seas End.

Nicky Haw, Dan Bright, Karol Narojczyk, Kacper Pilarz (2) and Liam Bills got the goals for Orange, while Liam Lambert and Dan Wilshire responded for Seas End.
