Sunday football: Mulberry smash 12 as Finnigan fires four and McGuire nets hat-trick

Mulberry were the big winners in the Spalding and District Sunday League over the weekend as they battered hosts Fosdyke 12-2.

Bede Finnigan fired four and Josh McGuire grabbed a hat-trick for the Spalding side, while Josh Ford and Scott Powley both netted doubles.

Josh Faulkner and David Thomas replied for Fosdyke.

Leaders Jubilee made it five wins from six games with a 5-2 success over South Holland United and are now three points clear.

Leigh Boekestyn, Declan Earth, Chris Hall, Martin Sandall and Ryan Wheeler were the scorers, while Lloyd McCann and Dan Robotycki hit back for South Holland.

In the League KO Cup, Pinchbeck United Sunday and Long Sutton Athletic both progressed by hitting five goals. Keenan Hall’s treble helped Sutton see off hosts Up The Fish FC Reds 5-2, while Marcus Gilbertson notched twice in Pinchbeck’s 5-3 success at Kirton Town.
