Ahead of a busy period, the Spalding Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society (SADOS) is looking for people to boost it both on and off stage.
The group is rapidly preparing for its Christmas panto Happily Every After and is this weekend also hosting auditions for a forthcoming performance of Oklahoma!
The group is looking for those who would like to take part in the wild west musical at the South Holland Centre from May 12 to 15, 2027.
The audition is 11am this Sunday (October 11) with roles on offer including principal and named roles, those in the chorus and dancers.
There’s no pianist, so auditionees should bring their own backing track. Acting segements are provided on the day with advance copies available on request plus more information from [email protected] or the SADOS Facebook event.
The group is also looking for backstage help, particularly ahead of the panto taking place at St Margaret’s Hall in Quadring from Thursday to Saturday, December 17 to 19.
They’d also like to hear from anyone who might be able to help with front of house and doing general jobs.
A spokesman for the group said: “You might give a couple of hours during a production or become a regular member, and either is very welcome.
“No experience is needed, just a friendly attitude and a willingness to have a go.
“The easiest way to say hello is to email us at [email protected], or message us on Facebook or Instagram.
“You could also come along to one of our play reading nights, a relaxed and informal way to meet the group before you commit to anything.”
