Spalding United haven’t let the suspension of the Pitching In NPL South East Division season stop them in their bid to revamp their squad.
Boss Gaby Zakuani has moved to add two more players to his ever-growing squad.
The first is talented youngster Reanu Grosset, who joins from Spartans Youth FC.
On his new addition, Zakuani said: “He’s a player who has been on my radar, I invited him to come on trial and my mind was made up within the first few touches.
“He is an entertaining player who will get the fans excited. He will fit in well with what I’m building here at Spalding.”
The Tulips chief has also snapped up former Tottenham Hotspur youth defender Hugo Constantine Odugwu-Atkinson.
“I’m absolutely delighted we’ve got him on board,” added Zakuani. “He’s a strong, powerful defender who has excellent distribution and is left-footed which gives us a good balance.”
Odugwu-Atkinson said: “I’m very excited with the opportunity I’ve been presented, it helps that the manager was a centre back like me and played at such a hight level. Can’t wait to get started.”
Having already landed Nile Ranger, Glenn Yala Bolasie, Chris Assombalonga and Jordan Foster since being confirmed as Tulips boss, the duo take the ex-Peterborough United defender’s signing spree to six.
