Spalding Town were in T20 cup action at Bourne on Saturday.
In the three-team group, Spalding lost comfortably to the current league champions and hosts.
Spalding posted 87 for 6 from their 20 overs with Ethan Lawrence top scoring with 20.
It was a total Bourne knocked off three down with more than four overs to spare.
Brandon Andrews claimed 2 for 26 in the reply.
Spalding did win the second game of the day against Grantham in nail biting fashion.
Both sides finished their 20 overs on 102, but Spalding claimed the win by losing a wicket less.
Jon Manton (22 from 20) and Chris Dring (19 from 14) gave Spalding a decent start before more patient knocks by Ethan Lawrence (28) and George Morris (18) helped Town into three figures.
Mitch Freeman’s 2 for 15 and Brandon Andrews’ 2 for 24 was the pick of the Spalding bowling.
A fine 102 not out by Josh Newton led Moulton Harrox to a 34-run win over Freiston in Division One of the South Lincs and Border League.
Newton carried his bat to dominate Moulton’s 204 for 7 from 45 overs.
He enjoyed partnerships of 51 with Chris Beale (17) and 60 with Jamie Kitchen (31).
All of Harrox’s bowlers took wickets as Freiston were left 169 all out with 10 overs to spare.
Cameron Fox (3 for 10), Alex Baker (2 for 38), Harry Lovell (2 for 40), Matthew Rose (1 for 24) and Kitchen (1 for 28) all played their part.
Moulton are fourth, three points and two points behind Long Sutton whose ground was deemed unfit to play their fixture against Bourne 2nds.
Moulton’s 2nd Xi had a losing draw against Ancaster.
Curtis Todd took 4 for 34 as Ancaster posted 227 all out.
Moulton were unable to get close to that, earning seven points by closing on 146 for 8 with Danny Jackson top scoring in the middle order with 43.
In Division Two, Spalding’s 3rd XI were beaten by nine wickets at Boston 3rd XI.
Thomas Preston hit a good 46 not out to help his side to 126 for 7 in 45 overs.
Boston knocked that off with more than five overs to spare.
Kevin Manning hit 69 not out for the hosts as they claimed a nine-wicket win despite Robert Seymour’s wicket (1 for 11 from six).
In the Rutland Sunday League, Long Sutton won a thriller by eight runs in Division Two.
Most of the home side’s batsmen made starts but Sutton’s top scorer was number nine Charlie Crisp whose 27 from 24 balls proved crucial in the end.
Chasing 172, Uffington looked set for victory but a brilliant spell by Josh Baker turned the game.
He took 5 for 43 as Uffington’s tail failed to get them over the line.
In Division Four East, Sutton’s Sunday 2nd XI lost by 98 runs at Orton.
Chasing 240, Ajay Jina (24), V Odedra (21) and Luke Barwell (16) were the only players to make double figures as Long Sutton finished 142 all out.
In the same division, Moulton Harrox came up short at Adidda CC.
Chasing the home side’s 150 all out, Moulton could only finish their 40 overs in 134 for 9.
