Spalding to turn into Wonderland

South Holland District Council have organised a Wonderland Week of fantastic activities and performances for all the family to enjoy in Spalding over the February half-term holiday.

Kicking off at Spalding Market on Saturday, February 11, there will be various outdoor activities available between 10am and 2pm, including free face painting, balloon modelling and a special visit from the Mad Hatter and the White Rabbit to entertain visitors.

More magical fun will follow on Tuesday, February 14, with the Queen of Hearts and Alice herself making a visit between 10am and 2pm, alongside bubble making activities, face painting and wonderland-themed craft workshops at the South Holland Centre.

Ayscoughfee Hall Museum and Gardens will play host to more activities on Saturday, February 18, with a Fairy Door Hunt between 10am and 2pm for children to enjoy, with those who complete it able to collect a free prize from the front desk team.

The ever-popular Fabuloso Organ and the Mad Professor will also be stopping by.

Meanwhile at the South Holland Centre, another wonderland-themed craft workshop will be running between 11am and 2pm with activities such as teacups and teapot decorating, Mad March Hare Masks, Cheshire Cat Smile and Top Hat Photo Props.

Don’t miss out on the week-long ‘Queen of Hearts Trail’ taking place in Spalding town centre until Sunday, February 19. Players will need to be on the look out for letters in nine shop windows around the town to work out the “Wonderland Word”.

Winners can visit the Box Office at the South Holland Centre to collect a free prize.
Sunday, February 19 will also see Rhubarb Theatre Company running their Wonderland of Games event down at the South Holland Centre.

Offering fun for the whole family with a fantastic interactive combination of games, performance and walkabout characters.
