Spalding Netball Club slip to first defeat but show off their brand new kit

Thursday night saw Spalding Netball Club suffer the first defeat since their formation a few months ago – yet they still had reason to be positive.

The second-placed Tulips slipped to a narrow 28-24 defeat against Boston Netball League Division C leaders Beta Belles, but they did at least get to show off their new kit.

In what was an end-to-end battle, Belles lead by one goal in the first quarter and extended that to eight points at the end of the third. They hauled the deficit back, but were unable to salvage a draw.

Millie Weller was players’ player of the match and Hayley Stevens umpire’s player.
