A Spalding man faces a possible jail sentence after he admitted a sexual offence at Lincoln Crown Court.
Gary Tinkler, 65, of Severn Road, Spalding, pleaded guilty to a single charge of causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent.
The offence was committed against a male victim, who can not be named, on May 2, 2025.
Tinkler also pleaded not guilty to a second charge of sexual assault against the same complainant which was alleged to have occurred between November 30, 2022 and March 1, 2023.
The court heard Tinkler will not face a trial on that charge after the Crown Prosecution Service indicated his pleas were acceptable.
Neil Sands, prosecuting, asked for sentence to be adjourned for the preparation of a Probation report on Tinkler.
“He is 65-years-old with no previous convictions,” Mr Sands explained.
Mr Sands told the court Tinkler suffered from Parkinson’s disease and also asked for a medical report on his client.
Tinkler, who attended the hearing on crutches and was allowed to remain seated in the dock, was granted bail on condition he does not contact the victim.
He will also have to now sign the Sex Offender’s Register.
Judge Catarina Sjolin-Knight agreed to adjourn sentence until September 17.
The case will be heard at Nottingham Magistrates Court because of Tinkler’s mobility issues.
She told Tinkler: “I am not making promises about sentence.
“But for a chap of your age and no previous convictions it would be remiss not to order a pre-sentence report.”
