Spalding man (34) in court over 448 indecent and 20 extreme pornographic images

A Spalding man accused of making more than 400 indecent images of children has had his case sent for trial.

Gareth Raymond Oddy, of Wygate Road, is said, on or before January 20, 2016, to have made:

  • 256 category A photographs
  • 108 category B photographs
  • 84 category C photographs

Category A photographs are the most serious.

Oddy is also accused of possessing 20 extreme pornographic images, namely a person performing an act of intercourse with dogs and horses.

The 34-year-old is further charged that on December 27, 2015, he intentionally attempted to cause or incite a girl of 15, not reasonably believing she was aged 16 or over, to engage in sexual activity which involved penetration of her vagina with her fingers.

Oddy appeared before Boston Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (March 15) and was granted conditional bail. He is not to have unsupervised access with any child under the age of 16.

The case was sent for trial at Lincoln Crown Court on Wednesday, April 12.
