Spalding air cadets get memorable experience at RAF Brize Norton

Six air cadets and three staff members from Spalding 1406 squadron enjoyed a fantastic experience at RAF Brize Norton.

They had a three-hour flight aboard a C-17 Globemaster III, and all the cadets had a chance to experience a take-off and a landing from within the cockpit.
Plus everyone had a chance to walk out on to the rear ramp whilst being 12,000ft above Wales.

A spokesman for 1406 squadron said: “The experience was a once in a lifetime opportunity for the cadets and they took many pictures and videos to remember the day.
“1406 would like to thank all the staff, both at 99 Squadron and at RAF Brize Norton for giving us such a great opportunity. The cadets will be talking about this day for years to come.”
