South Holland’s Issitt brothers Jack and Pat impress at World Final meeting in King’s Lynn

The Issitt brothers showed off what they were made of last Saturday at King’s Lynn when they took part in the BriSCA F2 World Final meeting.

South Holland siblings Jack (103) and Pat (113) Issitt were chasing the World Final crown, but needed to go via a last chance race – where the top seven progressed on to the main grid – to get there.

Pat finished a solid fifth to progress, whereas Jack came home in eighth, just missing out on qualifying.

However, a last minute turn in fortune saw a fellow competitor’s engine run sick, which then enabled Jack onto the grid as first reserve.

Pat’s fortunes continued where he then went on to record an eighth place in the main championship race too.

The brothers would then have another good result in the meeting final too, with Pat winning the race and Jack coming home for bronze in third. It was a great night all round for the brothers at the Adrian Flux Arena, who were both visibly overjoyed at the result too.

Elsewhere, the 2L Saloons were also on the bill, racing for the ORCi Championship.

Tom Yould (214) giving the best account of the local racers, a race win in qualifying put him in a good place for the championship race on Sunday.

Despite being on pace at the start and mounting a challenge for the lead, Yould lost out and had to retire from the race.

Yould would have been in the mix if he could have raced on, as there was a chaotic final lap and the top ten finishers completely flipped at the chequered flag.
