Snooker round-up: Five wins on the spin as Bourne SC C stay perfect in Division Two

Red-hot Bourne SC C made it an impressive five wins from as many games in Spalding and District Snooker League Division Two on Thursday night.

The second tier pace-setters saw off Gosberton A 5-1 on their home baize, with wins coming from Sean Jeynes (O7), Chris Page (scr), Adam Braybrooks (scr), Martin Ulyatt (O7) and James Kingston (O21).

They are now the only unbeaten side in Division Two, after club mates Bourne SC B slipped up 5-1 at Donington A. Nigel Brasier (O21) starred with a 29 break for the home side.

Sutton Bridge A were the big winners at that level, smashing Services E 6-0 with Thomas Horspool (O42) sinking a 25 break.

Up in the top tier, leaders Pyramid D were handed a surprise 5-1 home reverse against Holbeach C.

Mark Gregory (O28) shone for Holbeach, reeling off breaks of 25 and 24.

Services C, meanwhile, stole the show with a stellar 6-0 success over high-fliers Consti G.

Vince Fitter’s (O28) 20 break in the opening frame got things going nicely for Services on the night.

It was also a good night for Donington C, who beat hosts Consti B 5-1 despite a 25 break from Mick Johnson (O35).

There was an early-season top-of-the-table clash in Division Three as leaders Consti C lost 4-2 at second-placed Gosberton B.

A black-ball win from Warren Driver (R21) set the tone in the opening frame.

At the other end of the table, basement side Donington D grabbed their first win of the season by seeing off hosts Consti D 4-2.

It was also 4-2 as Consti I edged an all-club affair with Consti A.

In a game that saw two frames go to the final black, Nick Savic (O56) starred with a solid 23 break.

Perhaps the closest game of the week saw Consti J claim a 4-2 victory at Whittlesey B. This one went to the last black of the last frame, with Neville Vickers (R14) taking it 49-48 against Pawel Skutela (R7).
