Children from a Spalding Kindergarten enjoyed a special private visit to Santa ahead of Birchgrove’s official grotto opening.
Birchgrove Garden Centre in Pinchbeck ran a Facebook competition for schools and nurseries to attend the special event, and Spalding nursery Munchkins Kindergarten was the lucky winner.
Children from Munchkins went along to the winter spectacular on Wednesday, November 28.
“We thought it would be a great way of getting the local community to vote for their nursery or school,” said Birchgrove managing director Simon Slinger.
Simon added the special morning with Munchkins was a joyous occasion: “It went very well and they all enjoyed themselves and had a nice time.
“Santa spent time with the children and there were lots of smiley happy faces.”
Santa will be in his grotto at Birchgrove 10am-3.30pm every weekend in the run-up to Christmas, and every day from Thursday December 20 till Christmas eve.
