It was a day to forget for Moulton Harrox in the South Lincs and Border League Premier Division on Saturday.
Harrox suffered a 105-run defeat against visitors Bourne 2nd at Broad Lane.
Batting first after winning the toss, Bourne were all out for 171 before bowling out hosts Harrox for just 66 in reply.
In Division One, it was an even worse day for Moulton Harrox 2nd as they lost ground in the title race after slipping up at bottom-of-the-table Billingborough 2nd.
The second-placed side would have felt happy with their bowling performance after dismissing hosts Boro’ for 136 in 39 overs.
But Harrox slumped to 68 all out in reply, meaning they suffered a 68-run defeat.
Down in Division Two, Spalding Town 3rd enjoyed a 31-run victory at Uffington.
Spalding won the toss and decided to bat first, racking up 183 from their 45 overs with Matt Gill making a fine 65.
He was supported by smaller scores from Sonal Martin (17), Yuvraj Ranaut (15) and skipper Nigel Gardner (13 not out).
Spalding made a stellar start in the field, reducing the hosts to 40-5.
Martin (4-20) did much of the damage at the top of the order, before a 50 in the middle order boosted Uffington’s hopes.
Neo Timothy (3-26), Billy Gallagher (2-23) and William Gardner (1-41) also helped themselves to wickets for Town, though, as they seized command and eventually finished off their opponents in the 43rd over for a 19-point haul.
