Semi-final cup success for Moulton U15 girls

Moulton Harrox girls travelled to Lincoln on Saturday looking to reach the semi-final of the girls’ U15 County Cup.
Currently unbeaten in the U15 Lincs Girls’ South division and facing their toughest test of the season so far, Lincoln proved to be a physical, well organised team and the conditions added to the test.
The Moulton girls showed true quality and character to stick to the task.
Ava Marshall scored the first goal after 25 minutes.
The score remained the same with Moulton dominating proceedings to go in 1-0 up at half time.
Moulton started the second half strongly. A slick passing move in the 50th minute led to the composed Molli McCormack increasing the Moulton lead.
Lincoln didn’t give up and reduced the deficit with a penalty on the hour.
Finding themselves in a game, Moulton remained composed and stuck to their game plan.
In the 65th minute Marshall found herself through to calmly finish and restore Moulton’s two-goal advantage.
Moulton killed the game off in the 65th minute when Kara Butler, who worked tirelessly up front, sealed the victory and a place in the hat for the semi-final draw, to make it 4-1.
On Saturday Moulton Harrox senior team are in Lincs Junior Cup Semi-Final action when they welcome Grimsby Borough reserves to Broad Lane. Kick off at 1.30pm.
On Sunday, Harrox U18s welcome Deeping Rangers U18 to Broad Lane for their County Cup Semi-Final. Kick off at 1.30pm.
