Scramble raises charity cash

Tydd St Giles Golf Club’s ladies’ captain Maria Taylor Vassall and seniors’ captain Trevor Sewell organized a Mixed Texas Scramble, raising £60 for Dementia UK.

The winners were Dave Worrall, Chris Montague, Tom Ainsley and Maie Osborn, with runners up Chris Moore, Shirley Johnson, Mel Churchman, and Juliet Punshon.
Results: Ladies’ Marshland Stores foursomes competition – 1st Sylvia Illsley and Punshion with 32 points, 2nd Montague and Lorraine Gallie, 27 points.
Seniors’ stableford: Division 1 – 1st Tom Ainsley 37 points (ocb), 2nd Michael Flint 37 points, 3rd Ady Bills 35 points. Division 2 – 1st Steve Dewey 37 points, 2nd Chris Woods 35 points, 3rd Alan Thompson 34 points (ocb). Division 3 – 1st Martin Constable 37 points (ocb), 2nd Ken Walker 37 points, 3rd Dave Worrall 36 points.
qOn April 16, Sutton Bridge Seniors’ played hosts to Kirton Holme Golf Club in blustery conditions winning the match 5.5 to 2.5.
