A Donington school is celebrating after receiving an award for being an ‘inclusive school’.
Donington Cowley Endowed Primary School has earned the Inclusive Quality Mark which ‘recognises commitment to creating an inclusive environment and provides a framework for continuous improvement’.
An assessor said of their visit: “I found it to be an outstanding, highly inclusive school with dedicated staff who truly care for the pupils.
“Teaching and learning demonstrates strong inclusive practice with consistent approaches, effective collaboration and a shared commitment to achieve their full potential.”
Executive head Sophie Foston said: “I feel humbled, privileged and grateful to be part of such an inspiring school community and would like to thank everyone for your ongoing support care and dedication to our school.
“We now look forward to our continued growth and future successes as we continue to flourish together.”
A spokesman for the school said: “This national award recognises the commitment of Donington Cowley

“This achievement reflects the passionate drive and ambition of all stakeholders towards our shared vision.

Coun Jane King, a trustee at the school, raised the award at a recent meeting of Lincolnshire County Council.
“It’s fantastic and showcases inclusion and care for all their children is at the heart of what they do.”
