Saturday round-up: 15 in a row for Pinchbeck United but Moulton Harrox crash in semi-final

Both Holbeach United and Spalding United saw their games postponed over the weekend, while Pinchbeck United won 4-1 at Leverington Sports and Moulton Harrox were knocked of the President Premier Shield after a 3-2 defeat at Netherton United.

Starting with South Holland’s big two, Spalding saw their high-profile trip to Witton Albion in Evo-Stik NPL First Division South called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

Holbeach’s Friday night trip to Peterborough Northern Star in the ChromaSport UCL Premier Division was also rained off.

But there was some action in ChromaSport Peterborough and District League.

Pinchbeck remain four points off top spot after in the Premier Division a 4-1 success at Leverington Sports, as Ollie Maltby took his tally for the season to 49 with another hat-trick.

Tyler Wright was the other scorer for Ian Dunn’s side, who made it 15 league wins on the spin.

Pinchbeck also found out that they’ll be playing Netherton in the final of the President Premier Shield after they produced a stunning comeback to beat Moulton.

Goals from Ash Coddington and Marcus Parry had put Harrox 2-0 to the good, but Netherton roared back to win 3-2 and book their place in the final.
