Sarah’s Boys catch Division Two leaders Puyol with their Pants Down

Division Two leaders Puyol Pants Down were finally beaten at the 11th time of asking in The Spalding and South Holland six-a-side League as Sarah’s Boys took a notable scalp.

Elsewhere at Surfleet’s Glen Park on Monday night, Rob Green continued to push Balotellitubbies form upwards as they thrashed previously second-placed Nibblesborough FC 6-1 in the most surprising result of the second tier, while in Division One table-topping Tekkers improved their goal difference with another win.

It was Tekkers who got the top tier action under way with an 8-0 thrashing of Horse & Groom. They started strongly and were always in control as they dominated every aspect of the pitch.

Once again, Billy King was man of the match (MOTM) in this one.

Match two was a very tight affair as Univeg Team just squeezed to a 1-0 win over a struggling Notinmymums Forest. There was nothing to separate the two sides apart from a MOTM performance from Pedro Rocha.

The next game saw Simple FC start extremely well against Mirror Signal Malouda, as they went 3-0 up inside the first few minutes.

It eventually finished 4-0, with Dom Mason MOTM.

Pro Ballers then dispatched East Europa 5-1 in a comfortable and entertaining victory.

The Ballers’ concise and professional show sees them jump two spots to fourth, while East Europa drop a spot to ninth. Louis Steadman was MOTM for the winners.

Meanwhile, You’ve Got No Fans beat The Squad 2-1 to keep up the pressure at the top of the table.

They remain second on goal difference after grinding out a narrow win ahead of next week’s big clash with title rivals Tekkers.

Evolution and Polishborough played out and eventful final game to the division one fixtures to mark the midway point of the season.

Champions Polishborough won 1-0 but it was a game of few chances with both teams struggling to find space.

Rudi Horvat Duzda was MOTM in a game that saw two Evolution players sent off for foul and abusive language.

Division Two began with the big one, as Puyol Pants Down were unable to complete a perfect first half of the season after meeting Sarah’s Boys at the peak of their powers. A tight game – as expected – both promotion hopefuls played a defensive opening period.

Eventually Sarah’s Boys found a way through the stubborn defence of Puyol, which had only been beaten three times previous to this game.
It finished 1-0 and sees Sarah’s re-announce themselves in the promotion running, with Jack Neve the MOTM.

Posh Old Boys then made light work of Bowlcut Wanderers FC in a convincing 5-1 victory which sees them climb a space to fourth in the table.

Comfortable and content, Posh had it all their own way in their sixth win of the season. Shane Miller was MOTM.

BK’s Athletic where the big winners in the second-tier after thrashing Mail Carters 8-0.

Luke Russon was MOTM in what was a very one-sided contest.

Next up, Balotellitubbies continued their rich vein of form with the most surprising result of the night as they strolled past Nibblesborough FC 6-1.

The Tubbies have struck gold over the recent weeks and can’t stop scoring.

With results like this they could mount a genuine promotion push in the second half of the season. The loss saw Nibblesborough drop an incredible four places.
Green was MOTM.

Elsewhere, FC Barnicols had everything their own way as they strolled to a 4-1 victory over an out-of-form The TBME, who suffered their fourth straight defeat.

MOTM Liam Lachasseigne and his FC Barnicols side enjoyed near-total domination in this one.

The final game of the night was a competitive and entertaining 1-0 victory for Dynamo Kiev over Tekkerslovakia.

The success sees Kiev move off the foot of the table for the first time this season.

There wasn’t a great deal to separate these two sides, except for JJ Ivatt, who got his first MOTM season to help his side on their way to just their second win of the campaign.
