Safety record helps charity

Pinchbeck-based Coveris UK has celebrated it’s excellent safety record by donating £500 to local charity the Pennygate Foundation.

The donation is a result of the packaging solutions company’s head office site achieving an impressive 1,500 days without a lost-time injury.

As part of Coveris’ Lost Time Incident Reward Policy, colleagues are invited to choose a local charity to benefit from a donation once a site reaches an injury-free milestone.

The Pennygate Foundation was nominated for providing help and somewhere to go for those in need in Spalding via its community drop in centre.

Michaela Van Noordt, HR manager said: “We are extremely happy to be able to support the Pennygate Foundation and their valuable work in the local community with a charitable donation as a celebration of 1,500 days without a lost-time injury at the Coveris head office.”
