COLUMN: A celebration – 2017 in review

It is now a New Year and time for a new start, so at Lincs Training – Dog Training Made Easy we thought we would go through our achievements of last year.

We would firstly like to thank all our volunteers who have helped in varying capacities, without their help our lives would have been made much more difficult.

We would also like to thank the people at Pinchbeck Village Hall, Spalding Grammar School and The Umbrella who
have provided their facilities to allow our training to take place and finally we would like to thank all our clients and their dogs who have once again made our efforts worthwhile.

This year our clients have achieved the following awards in the Kennel Club Good Citizens Dog Scheme: Puppy Foundation (50), Bronze Award (27), Silver Award (16) and Gold Awards (6). They have also achieved passes in the BIPDT (British Institute of Professional Dog Training) Bronze Award (45), Silver Award (7) and Gold Award (1).

Amongst the above awards one of the clients that we trained passed their Kennel Club Bronze Award live at Crufts, the second time that we have achieved this.

This year as a club we set out to raise £1,000 for the Animal Health Trust Cancer Research Fund through sponsored walks, raffles and other events. We actually managed to raise a total of £1,692, of which we so proud. We will be shortly be announcing the charity
that we will be supporting this year. We also were a Finalist in the South Holland Business Award – Customer Care Section.

We look forward to another successful year for all those associated with Lincs Training – Dog Training Made Easy.
