What if the Greek gods were real, and what if one of them turned out to be your deadbeat, absent dad?
That’s the question the talented young performers of Spalding’s Act II Theatre Company of Spalding will be answering in their upcoming production of The Lighting Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical.
This musical, based on the much-loved book by Rick Riordan, features adventure, humour, magic and spectacle and is packed with electrifying rock songs and music performed by the cast and a live band.
Whether a fan of the book series (and its film and TV adaptations), a scholar of the classics or just a lover of rock music, this show features something for everyone.
The epic saga of Percy, Annabeth and Grover to uncover the identity of the Lightning Thief should prove to be an electrifying night out for all ages, from the team that brought The SpongeBob Musical and Hadestown: Teen Edition to the town earlier this year.
The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical will be performed at the South Holland Centre from Wednesday September 30 to Saturday, October 3 at 7.30pm plus a relaxed matinee performance at 2.30pm on October 3 as well as an evening performance at 7.30pm.
