Darters raise £1,500 for cancer charity

The JMC Spalding & District Darts League raised £1,500 for a prostate cancer charity thanks to superb support at the Spalding Darts Open, held at Spalding Services Club.

Sponsors, donations and raffle tickets helped towards the total and league secretary was among those thanked for their support and help with the competition. League chairman Ian Tilley, who has prostate cancer and is receiving treatment, thanked everyone for their support.

He said: “A big shout out for men over 50 years old. Please, please ask for a PSA blood test to get checked out. One blood test could get an early diagnosis.”
