Red lights cannot stop Bush’s rush to Barrier Bank victory

Spalding Cycling Club’s latest ten-mile time trial was again on the popular Barrier Bank course, with a bumper turnout of 32 riders in mixed conditions.
Extra complications were added by the appearance of temporary traffic lights on the course. However, the organisers did a fantastic job managing the situation with riders having the clock stopped if they got held by the lights.
The overall win was taken by guest rider Toby Bush (Bourne Wheelers) clocking 20 minutes 33 seconds. The real battle was between Frazer Wallis and Dominic Brand. This time it was Wallis who was fastest in the club championship race, just a second ahead of Brand in 21:32.
The fastest road was young gun William Horspool, of Wisbech Wheelers, with 24:29.
Another dominant performance came in the ladies’ category, where Evgeniya Brand finishing in a blistering 25:22 to remain the only rider undefeated in their class this season.
