The Spalding Inner Wheel’s latest International Lunch raised money for the British Red Cross’ Ukrainian Appeal.
The charity’s Jayne Owens was the guest at the lunch at Cley Hall.
A spokesman for the Inner Wheel said: “After lunch was served to guests, Jayne Owens, senior fundraiser for the East Midlands, gave an inspiring and enlightening presentation providing an insight into the functioning of this worldwide charitable organisation.
“She explained how different countries specialise in particular aspects of relief, citing that Norway provides two flying operating theatres and stressing the neutrality of the Red Cross Organisation.
“After the talk and vote of thanks, Jayne was presented with a cheque for £200 towards the appeal with the proceeds of the raffle to follow.
“The Spalding Inner Wheel Club would like to thank all our guests for making this such a successful event.”
