Raising cash for Comic Relief

Manager of the Spalding Sainsbury’s store Paul Bryan is getting in the mood for Comic Relief and is hoping the team at Spalding United Football Club will do too.

Paul has challenged the football team to run out onto the pitch wearing a red nose for Comic Relief at the start of their home game against Goole AFC on Saturday.

Colleagues from Sainsbury’s will be at the ground cheering the team on. Any fans wishing to donate to Comic Relief can do so by visiting Sainsbury’s or putting money in the collection buckets at the ground.

Chris Toynton, chairman of Spalding United, said: “It’s really great to be working in partnership with our local Sainsbury’s to help raise money for Comic Relief whilst having fun in the community.”

Paul added: “It will be great to see all the players on the pitch sporting their red noses on Saturday.”
