Pupils at Gosberton Academy went more than the extra mile to raise money for the school.
All the children walked more than 5km on a route around the village to add up to 800km.
They teamed-up with Gosberton House Care Home and during their lap of the village, children delivered flowers, letters and poems to residents.
“It’s been a tough year for many people, those in the care homes have had a really difficult time and we wanted to do something to show our support,” said headteacher Tom Baxter.
Before the pandemic, the school’s parent and friend association had a range of events planned and Mr Baxter praised the group for its help.
He also thanked local businesses which had been ‘fantastic’ with support for the walk.
“If anybody can support us and the academy, please get in touch,” he added.
