Pudsey piles up the pounds at Greggs

Hundreds of pounds was raised at Applegreen Services in Spalding on Thursday when Children in Need mascot bear Pudsey stopped by and spent the morning outside rattling a collection bucket.

A spokesman for Greggs said £220 was raised during the morning’s collection alone.

The Greggs store had been fundraising for Children in Need all week, with a stall by the counter selling fun Children in Need souvenirs such as Pudsey ears headbands.

Buckets for change were also stationed at the counter to let generous customers donate money to the national charity appeal.
