A Spalding postie and his girlfriend have delivered over £700 for charity thanks to a run around London on Sunday.
Ade Mills and Rachael Nichols ran the London Landmarks half marathon to raise money for the babies charity Tommy’s.
“We had an amazing day and Rachael ran a personal best time for the half marathon distance 2:04:50,” Ade said. “What makes Rachael’s performance yesterday even more remarkable is that she suffers from ME so for her to be able to run at all below a half marathon makes me so incredibly proud of her.
“People who suffer with ME have a very low immune system and face chronic fatigue that can leave them with no strength or energy to complete simple day-to-day tasks.”
Ade has previously started a Cancer Foundation in memory of a colleague who lost his battle with the disease over 12 years ago that’s raised more than £13,000 for The Pilgrim Hospital in Boston.
And the charity runs are set to continue.
“We’re both running the Miles for Mind challenge this month to raise awareness for the mental health charity,” Ade continued. “This will be the third time we have done so this year.”
