Police warning over shed break-ins

V NEWS

Police are urging residents in Holbeach to be vigilant to suspicious activity following an increase in shed and garage burglaries in the area.

Overnight, between April 14 and 15, offenders forced entry to a garage at a property in Washway Road, Holbeach, and stole a Lincoln electric compact 185 mig welder, a Stihl petrol disc cutter and a gas bottle.

Holbeach and Suttons Neighbourgood Sgt Gareth Boxhall said: “I would appeal to local people to tell us if they have seen suspicious vehicles recently, especially in the areas near to Boston Road North and Battlefields Lane North.

“I take this opportunity to encourage local residents to be vigilant – if you see a vehicle or people that you think are suspicious, especially at night, don’t be afraid to report it to Lincolnshire Police on 101.”

Anyone with information about the Washway Road garage burglary should contact PC Sarah Draper by calling 101 and quoting the incident number.
