UPDATE: Police find body in search for missing woman

UPDATE: Police officers searching for a missing woman found a body in a field near Gedney on Saturday (Aug 1).

Karen Greenwood (50), from Essex, had been staying with relatives in Fleet Hargate.
She left the address at around 2pm on Thursday, following a disagreement, and had made no contact since.
She had not taken any money with her or the medication she relies on.

The body of a woman was found at about 1.30pm on Saturday. Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
Formal identification is due to take place shortly.

 

FRIDAY, JULY 31: Police are searching for a woman who has gone missing in the Holbeach area.

Karen Greenwood (50) is from Essex but has been staying with relatives in Fleet Hargate. She left the address around 2pm on Thursday (July 30), following a disagreement, and has not made contact since.

Concern is growing for Karen, who is on foot, and has not taken any money, or medication she relies on, with her.

Karen is 5ft tall, of petite build, with shoulder length blond hair. She looks younger than her age. When last seen, she was wearing black leggings, brown long boots, a red jumper and a red fleece with white fur lining and Jack Willis wording on the back.

Anyone with any information about Karen’s current whereabouts is asked to contact Lincolnshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 391 of  July 30.
