Pinchbeck’s winning run comes to an end

Pinchbeck United’s two-match winning Thurlow Nunn League run was brought to a halt against Gorleston Reserves at The Nest in Norwich on Saturday.

However they bounced back with a 1-0 home win over FC Peterborough on Tuesday night.
Man of the match Lewis Arber gave the Knights the win thanks to a 26th minute goal.
A shot-shy display against Gorleston saw them have the majority of possession but fail to test the home goalkeeper. Long-range snapshots were blocked or charged down and they paid the price late in the first half when they failed to clear a corner. A free-kick was curled into the top corner of the net for the second.
The hosts completed a 3-0 win with a breakaway in the second half, converting the loose ball after goalkeeper Callum Bastock had saved in a one-on-one.
