Picture gallery – Firm funds fab family weekend

Fantastic summer weather helped families have a ball at the annual Bakkavor weekend.

Thousands of visitors made the most of glorious sunshine and packed the Springfields venue over both Saturday and Sunday.

With a funfair, refreshments, live music, stalls and displays, there was plenty to keep everyone happy.

Sunday was a classic, with cars and motorbikes from a bygone era getting free entry to take part in a display for visitors.

Saturday was just for employees and their families with the public welcomed from 7pm.

Called Saturday in the Park, the evening event saw local band Zebra, singer Tiffany Bell and more take to the stage.

The family fun weekend was held at the town’s Springfields centre and Sunday was open to all visitors.

Last year’s event saw more than £24,000 donated to local good causes and it’s hoped a similar amount will be available after last weekend’s fun and games.

Proceeds are going to be presented to the WWII Spalding Memorial Fund and Boston Salvation Army.
