Moulton Harrox Reserves’ relentless charge towards the ChromaSport PDFL Division One title continued with a 6-1 success at Glinton and Northborough on Saturday.
Daniel Lambe-Hyner (2), Declan Earth, Laurence Price, Martin Sandall and Ashley West all notched for Kev Nottingham’s unbeaten side, who have now won 20 of their 21 league games so far.
With nine games left to play, they are 15 points clear of second-placed Sutton Bridge United – who won 3-0 against King’s Cliffe at Memorial Park.
Matt Eaton’s 36th and 37th goals of the season, plus a Ben English effort, ensured that Bridge’s promotion push remains in full swing.
Up in the Premier Division, Stilton United beat Crowland Town 3-0 and seven-man Holbeach United Reserves were defeated 2-1 at home by Thorney.
In Division Two, Crowland Town Reserves moved up to fifth place with a 3-1 Snowden Field triumph over ICA Sports Reserves.
But third tier side Tydd St Mary suffered a 4-0 Challenge Cup quarter-final loss at home to Stanground Sports Reserves. Dean Giglio’s hat-trick was key in that one.
In Division Four, promotion hopefuls Holbeach Bank got back on track with a 3-0 win over Parkside.
Tyger Atkin, Lewis Machin and sub Jason Chilvers got the goals.
However, Whaplode Drove went down 4-2 at leaders Premiar – who remain two points clear of second-placed Bank with five games in hand.
Also beaten were Tydd St Giles Reserves, who were smashed 7-1 by hosts Feeder despite a goal from Dexter Facey.
Long Sutton Athletic Reserves fared better as they drew 1-1 at home to Whittlesey C, Thomas Grantham their scorer.
In Division Five A, goals Tom Cherry (2), Josh Lawrence (2) and Luke Wilson helped Holbeach United A thrash Glinton and Northborough Reserves 5-1. The Tigers are third in the table.
