Tydd rounded off their first-ever season in the ChromaSport PDFL Premier Division with an impressive 4-2 home success over last year’s champions Netherton United.
The victory ensures that Tydd will finish in the top ten of the league’s top tier, which is a solid return for the South Holland side with 13 wins and five draws from their 30 games.
In Division One, Spalding Town were handed a 4-1 home reverse by Eye United as Mitchell Lyth scored a double.
In Division Three, Long Sutton Athletic Reserves secured a top six finish by drawing 2-2 at home against a Farcet United side that would have leapfrogged them with a victory.
The Magpies could climb as high as fifth place if they are able to pick up at least one more point from their season finale at home to Leverington Sports Reserves.
It wasn’t such a good day for Tydd Reserves in Division Four, however, as they were handed a 5-2 home beating by Orton Rangers in their penultimate fixture.
